Trusts and public funders provide the vital bedrock of investment that make it possible for Sinfonia Cymru to give the best opportunities for young professional musicians.

Grants enable our projects for players, schools and new audiences to flourish. Can you help us? We would welcome conversations about:

  • Professional development projects for our players, to provide exceptional performances and development opportunities as they embark on their careers, needed now more than ever.
  • Taking our music to audiences in every corner of Wales, especially to people who might not otherwise have the chance to attend concerts, or might not think classical music is for them.
  • Artistic grants, to enable us to develop new strands of programming, commission new works, and give our players the chance to work with the very best and most exciting artists.
  • Educational grants, so that we can continue our projects with schools, introducing hundreds of children to our players and to classical music.

“I just wanted to say thank you for the great opportunity to create my own music. The experience has opened up new paths and I definitely feel I would like to do this as an integral part of my music life.” Abel Selaocoe, curator for #MotherTongue, May 2019

We would welcome discussing how we can partner together to achieve shared goals. Please contact Caroline Tress, Chief Executive.

Thank you to all the trusts, foundations and public funders who are currently working with us to develop the careers of outstanding young professional musicians.

I just wanted to say thank you for the great opportunity to curate my own music. The experience has opened up new paths and I definitely feel I would like to do this as an integral part of my music life.
