Summer Weekender #3
Published Thursday 12 August 2021Sinfonia Cymru’s Summer Weekender Festival features 14 new videos plus 4 of our top choices from the existing catalogue. There are three strands to the festival: Players’ Picks, where our wind players have chosen their favourite pieces; Curate, where we give musicians the opportunity to create and develop their own programme around a theme of their choice; and Re-visited, featuring four of our best existing pieces.
Join us on Friday 20 to Sunday 22 August for a feast of music ranging from Hamilton Harty to Joseph Haydn, Clara Schumann to John Stanley, Arvo Pärt to Francis Poulenc, and Rene Griffiths to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Session 3 – Saturday 21 August, 2pm
In this session we feature an oboe solo from Hannah Condliffe, music for clarinet and piano with Will Knight and Hamish Brown, and a movement from Poulenc’s Trio for oboe, bassoon and piano, played by Amy Roberts, Matthew Kitteringham and Hamish Brown.
