Tea for Two: Menuhin and Grappelli
Wednesday 2 June 2027
Tea for Two is a joyful celebration of the magic that happens when four jazz and classical violins meet.
It is inspired by the legendary collaboration between Yehudi Menuhin and Stéphane Grappelli, who recorded a series of albums in the 1970s bringing together classical precision and jazz flair. They even performed at the interval of the 23rd Eurovision Song Contest!
For this concert, Sinfonia Cymru violinist Ezo Sarici has arranged a wide variety of Menuhin and Grappelli’s music for four violins, mixing jazz standards and lively gypsy jazz tunes to create a playful, swinging conversation between the instruments.
