Julieth Lozano Rolong: Latin American Song
We are working with soprano Julieth Lozano Rolong to create something truly special to tour Wales in 2026, as classical music meets the vibrant heart of Latin America.
Julieth and a unique ensemble of six Sinfonia Cymru musicians – violin, trumpet, bass, clarinet, harp, and percussion – bring to life music rarely heard on Welsh stages.
With music from Argentina, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela, the concert is a journey through Latin America. From the lush lyricism of María Grever to the rhythmic brilliance of Esther Forero, each song Julieth will perform was written by a female composer.
Julieth – who is from Colombia – invites you to share this special music. She says,
“This is a concert that hopes to remind people that music is universal. I want to bring melodies and rhythms from my side of the world to stages all around and remind other people that our music, especially that of our female composers, is beautiful and worthy of being performed in the best possible way and of not being forgotten.”
To create a truly unique and special experience, the concert also features Latin American poetry. Join us for one of the most unique and evocative concerts you’ll hear in Wales in 2026.
