Regenerate: Seasons for Change Summer Tour

Saturday 1 June 2024

“Watching this performance by Sinfonia Cymru was truly inspiring. To think that a work that is centuries old can live with such vitality and joy… I’m incredibly moved by it.” – Errollyn Wallen CBE

Curated by climate activists, Welsh violinist Simmy Singh and percussionist Delia Stevens for Sinfonia Cymru, Regenerate: Seasons for Change is a ground-breaking programme originally commissioned by Sky Arts. They are joined by triple BBC Folk Musician of the Year nominee, harmonica player Will Pound.

Breathing new life into the timeless beauty of Vivaldi, Vaughan Williams and traditional folk music, Singh, Stevens and Pound use the concert platform to reimagine the future of our planet for the next generation through deep ecology and active listening alongside Sinfonia Cymru; a visionary ensemble of musicians – all under the age of 30 – at the forefront of redefining the classical landscape.

Regenerate: Seasons for Change is a compelling call to action, igniting collective efforts to reshape our bond with the environment. This extraordinary programme unveils a world where music becomes a catalyst for hope and imagination, fearlessly challenging the status quo facing the next generation.

Regenerate is supported by PRS Foundation’s The Open Fund for Organisations.
