Music for Friends: Celebrating Stravinsky

To mark the 50th anniversary of Stravinsky’s death, explore some of Stravinsky’s extraordinary and jazz inspired works for small ensemble. The programme features music composed for his friend’s, clarinettist Benny Goodman, violinist Samuel Dushkin and philanthropist Werner Reinhart. Bartok’s Contrasts was also written for his good friend Benny Goodman, although ironically, Stravinsky and Bartok had a particularly sour relationship!
